Dr. Corine Selders, DVM (CVA, CVMMP, CERPV) is a graduate of
Colorado State University’s veterinary school at the College of Veterinary
Medicine and Biomedical Science and completed a post-doc in the equine
surgery department. After her post-doc, Dr. Selders interned at the highly
regarded Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center in Los Olivos, CA (near
Santa Barbara). Once Dr. Selders completed the internship in 2003, she
worked for a 5 doctor ambulatory practice in San Diego County.
In February 2007, Dr. Selders took the plunge and started her own practice.
During this time period, Dr. Selders began to expand her knowledge and
pursued holistic education and added holistic services after her own horse,
Isis, required answers that Western medicine could not provide.
Dr. Selders completed her certification in Veterinary Acupuncture through
the Chi University in Florida in 2009. She continued her education by
completing courses in Advanced Acupuncture & Topographic Acupuncture.
In 2012 Dr Selders completed her homeopathy course work with Dr
Pitcairn. She regularly continues her education in homeopathy and has
given lectures on the subject. In 2015 Dr Selders completed the equine
veterinary medical manipulation (veterinary chiropractic) course at IVMI in
Florida and furthered her education by completing the advanced course
work. In 2019 She completed The Equine Rehabilitation and Performance
Medicine certification. And in 2021 completed the Small Animal Veterinary
Medical Manipulation coursework and certification.
Dr Selders enjoys combining the acupuncture and medical manipulation to
treat a variety of musculoskeletal problems. In addition, Dr Selders
incorporates homeopathy to treat the underlying conditions that may
predispose her veterinary patients to these problems, thereby providing
long term wellness.
